2006 H3 Air Conditioner
 

Hi All,

Thought I would check in and see if anyone else has experienced problems with the AC in your H3. Mine blows air, but it is not cool by any means. We checked the freon and it registered low, so we added some, but nothing.. Sounds like the compressor is kicking off and on (when it kicks on, you can feel the air cooling some). But.. it also feels like the engine drags greatly when the compressor kicks on and it is absolutely not running 'normal'.

Any thoughts? If the compressor is bad, any ideas of cost to get it fixed?

compressor should not bog your engine down that much. is the belt slipping by chance? possible when the clutch engages its causing a heavier strain on the belt making it slip? that would make it run worse than normal and prevent the air getting old. just an idea.

Thanks for the thought.. we will definitely check that as we hadn't thought of that before. It has 72K on it and the belt has never been changed, so probably due.

make sure you ac blower is working. plenty of treads about blower problems check under passenger side plug ,relay and resistor maybe thats youre problem good luck...
