Exclamation 2005 Hummer H2 problem, please advise.

Greetings, ive been a long time lurker but never posted before. I have an 2005 with 73k on the clock, and in the last week have had alot problems with the car. The pitman arm, and steering damper were both shot, so I had both of them replaced, and while the car was on the lift, I had them change inner and outter tie rods while they were at it, and also the idler arm. I took it into a friends shop to get an alignment, and as soon as i started driving it I noticed that whenever I made a tight turn, you would hear a whining, and the steering felt like it was binding (with the wheel cut, and you hit the gas, the truck barely moves), and it sounds and feels like the problem is coming from the awd, and to top it off, the service AWD message just came on, has anyone had this problem before, or does anyone have an idea what is wrong with the truck? thanks in advance guys.

It sounds like maybe someone at the alingment shop might have been fooling around with your trucks 4x4 buttons on the dash and it's in 4x4

The buttons are fine its in the normal setting. The day before I had the problems with the front end I had the truck in packed down sand in 4 high withe the tires aired down. I took it around the block to feel it out this morning and it feels almost if the truck is driving in 4 high. And when I make a slightly sharp turn at low speeds your hear a whining and you feel the steering bind up and evenmn if you give it power with the wheel cut, it barely moves unless I really give it power. I'm gona see if the shop I go to can look at it today but does anyone have an idea what the propblem might be?

Default 2005 hummer H2 transfer case problem

What's up fellas. I have an 05 H2 and I'm almost positive the transfer case is shot (goin into a buddies shop to be checked out saturday to be positive). I was wondering can the case be rebuilt and how much a new one would be, and if there are any sponsors that can provide one at a good price. TIA- Ace

Default 2005 hummer H2 transfer case problem

itsaNYthing - I am having the exact same problems with my '05 H2 except no 'Service AWD' message yet.

Was wondering what ended up being the issue - I'd rather not add a whole new tc if it was an internal part that can be replaced.

I appreciate any input!

Did you align in after all those suspension components were replaced? its awd and could be binding up if the alignment is way out of spec. tires are fighting each other.
