Not sure which seal you are talking about replacing multiple times.

Do it right, replace both half shafts and while doing so replace both hubs and that will take care of all of it.

I replaced the front left axle stub seal twice and the inner side bearing adjuster nut seal once on the same side.

I'm assuming i have a shot bearing on the same side, but why change the half shafts and hubs? Do you think one of the two is making the seal fail over and over?

MY mind went to cv boot when you said you changed the seal 2 times. I think if I am reading the right post, with your binding issues 2 new hubs are well worth the investment and while you're at it, 2 new axles aren't that much more trouble or expense.

I purchased all those items from Detroit Axle and have had no issues with them. The only other thing I wish I had done was upgrade my rotors while it was apart.

Update!!!

I just pulled the transfer case and sure enough the was plastic pieces everywhere! looks like part of the lockup shift assembly. The plastic shift fork is in good shape but i would replace if i can find a metal one.

Should i replace all the bearings since im in there? and i wonder if my tachometer fluctuation was from the transfer case shift fork drifting in and out of 4hi and 4hilock??? I really hope this is the main cause of all my problems......

Also while under the hood i found water pump gasket leaking as well as power steering fluid coming out from somewhere!....yahooooo.

If you also dropped the transmission, its a great time to replace the rear main seal. Mine is leaking and I dread the r/r.

Update!
I have a low whine from the under carriage somewhere, i'm assuming its the transfer case i just rebuilt. It starts after being driven and warmed a little then its very noticeable when rolling real slow then almost disappears with speed into higher pitches.
Any ideas?
