Can anyone help me decide the best route in getting my spare out of the rear inside and mounting it on the outside? I checked into this a few months back and was shocked to find that the mount/ swinging arm was a over $1000 uninstalled. Are there any other ways or brands that I can look for used? Thanks.

 

The tire carrier you are looking for is widely available in the forums and on Craigslist. The problem though is that it would have to be shipped on a pallet or packed really well and would probably cost alot of money to ship.
I've seen alot of guys trying to sell them, and some have been able to get decent money, several hundred dollars, while others have to damn near give them away.
Just keep your eyes open and you'll be able to lock one down. The irony is that for almost every guy in an older deuce trying to put them on, there are guys in newer deuces taking them off!
