2003 H2 AC HELP. Drivers works, passenger is hot
 

I just picked up a 2003 H2. The driver's side AC works ok but the passenger side blows hot air? Anyone know the fix? The back works just fine also.

One of the blend doors...... google search GM truck blend door fix. Specifically on models with the digital climate control since those and ours have 4 different blend doors.

I forget which one is which. I think with drivers side cold, pass side hot, that its the one under the drivers side of the dash though.

should be a temp sensor in the duct work on that side that tells the blend door what it wants based on the temp setting but also as MixMan said the most common issue is the blend door.

I'm not real familiar with the 03 H2 so if it has the auto AC then this should be correct.

Sometimes the blend door can "loose its calibration" and will need to be reset. There is a reset procedure that you can do to try and get the head unit to sweep the blend door range of travel and relearn the full open and closed positions. Google it and see, if I remember correctly you remove a fuse in the under hood panel for a period of time and that will reset the memory in the head unit.
