1st Anniversary, 1st Post, Still Smiling

Joined before we bought our H3, never posted. June 27 will be 1st Anniversary. Our “Baby Hummer” is big enough to haul 8 plus large boxes tools, plus saws & Misc. 2-3 people in comfort. Once our 5 spd, loosened up find our High Alt. highway miles at 21.4 - 22 MPG. Very acceptable. It drops severely to about 18.2 to 18.5 in town. Still better than our Jeeps XJ or ZJ . We're now at 25K miles and our first anniversary. The honeymoon is over and we’re still smiling! Hard to say it all in such short note!:);)

Congrats. Don't be a stranger post a little more often. Most of us are pretty friendly and the grumpy ones don't come on often.:D

Congrats on your first year, June 1 was alsoour first year, have hada blastinour H3. Some great road & off road trips, got snowed on last week up about 9,500 ft. We have slept inside & beside, gone through a couple feet of snow and water, bestfootballtailgate rig ever, wife even took it downtown to the opera. The aftermarket intake & duel exhaustdefinitely help , money well spent. Idesigned an adjustable, interior rear cargo rack that doubles the storage space, perfect for both sets of golf clubs and the cooler fits below !!Driving around our eco-enviro-go green, sky is fallingtown of Boulder Co.we'll get the "stare" now & then, usually froma hybridgeek or a subaru station wagon crammed full of mom dad anda half dozenkids. Hey whatever, With the agressive wreckless drivers, no way my wife is driving around in some beer can with a steering wheel just because its the enviro fad of the day. Ever see a Prius after a wreck , they don't do well at all.We have severalelderly neighbors ,they all know they can call us for a ride in a blizzard or other emergency. As far as GM discontinuing the Hummer brand, time will tell. If they do, the value could increase, Go try to buy a Cessna 150, doubleto triple what they sold for new. Hang in there Hummer owners,Were still smiling !!!

Don't you just love telling people that you get 20-22 MPG in a Hummer?!

I have 2 years and 32K miles on H3 . . . . the honeymoon is far from over!
