1995 H1 Wagon, Possible Purchase
How is everyone doing? I wanted to get some opinions on a H1 I have the opportunity to buy. It is a 1995 Diesel Wagon with 86K and tan in color. It has a full roof rack and the tires are deep. It is located in Texas and I am in Virginia so it would cost me $900 to get it here. The price is $19,000.
I had a Tech check out the vehicle and there are issues: Brake Warning Light does not illuminate, Heat Shield Rattles, A/C Control Head Flashing, A/C not Cooling, and there are Oil Leaks. I dont have specifics on the oil leaks yet. I work in the automotive business so I am lucky enough to be able to bring this vehicle up and check it out and if I decide I dont want it all I have to pay is the transfer cost. What do you think? Is it worth the price and repairs needed? Thanks in advance. |
The price is good. Do you have a link. A better description/pictures will help us form a more accurate opinion of the truck.

Sounds like a great deal...but if it sounds too good to be true it usually is...IDE fly out & check it out myself...

95 had the 6.5 NA motor. They are pretty bulletproof but run loader than other diesels. Based on the list of things that don't work/leak I would expect to spend 4-5K on it when you get it. I suspect that more is wrong than you know. Still 24-25K for a wagon is a good number to be in the truck for. Interior parts are hard to find and expensive so if the interior isn't nice that will add some $$$$$ also. Paint? Body corrosion? CTIS system? Winch? Not knowing anymore than you have told us it may be a decent buy but there are still lots of unanswered questions and not a lot of info to judge from.
