10 H3T Lux in Ga.

I was lucky enough to get a 10 H3T in canyon metalic, tan interior, black mirrors and door handles, exactly what I wanted. I've installed a black locking gas cover. I'm hoping to put some different wheels on and paint the grill (the only chrome on the truck) same as the body.
Has anyone painted their grill? I would take the grill to be professionally done. Even though it's chrome and what appears to be plastic, I guess they could just prime and spray it.

I would suggest buying a used grill, having it painted and installing it. That way you can keep the original one in case it does not hold up as well as the OEM. Does Hummer not offer factory painted grills for the H3 like they do for the H2?

Eventually I'm going to get around to bedlinering my grill. You can probably find a place to color match a spray on bedliner, it will be much tougher than the stock chrome stuff. Personally, I'm just going to rattle-can bedliner my grill black (as well as the mirrors and door handles if I can't find cheap black ones). I did the rattle-can bedliner on my brush guard and it's holding up great plus I like the look.

Just another thought.

At one time I found a site that had the grills and would paint it but can't find it now. I've found a lot of grill covers, lower grills, screens etc.. but can't seem to find a grill. I'll check with the dealer but I'm pretty sure I'll have to pay quite a bit more from a dealer.

Hello and Welcome fellow "T" owner. I have some pix of a Canyon Metallic H3T you may want to check out.

You will still need to "scuff" the chrome coating on the grill in order to promote any kind of adhesion. I scuffed, primed (with adhesion promoter) and then bedlined. Turned out pretty nice on our Canyon Metallic H3T. It almost matches the mirrors and door handles perfectly!

Welcome fellow Southeasterner and fellow T owner. Always great to have another T owner in the mix. We are a rare breed lol. Love the color.

By the way your signature is the photo from this dealers listing on Autotrader. Did you purchase it from Daytona Mitsubishi Kia?

Dammit Tainter, I love the way your truck looks, and it makes me hate my current white/chrome.. That's the best color for a T, and blacking out all the chrome gives it the look our trucks should have come from the factory with.

OP ... Would you be interested in a ReadyRamp bed extender/ramp by any chance? I was recently thinking about selling mine since it is sitting in the attic and it has been years since I have had a truck that it would fit. I just noticed it would fit the H3T's.

Here is a pic of it mounted on a Lightning I once had ....
