08 H3 Alpha Power Steering acting weird

My 08 H3 Alpha's power steering is acting up a little. When I started it up yesterday morning and went to turn right from my driveway the power steering gave me some resistance, for a second it was hard to turn the steering wheel. On my next turn,a left, it did it again, just when turning the steering wheel a little from center. After driveing for about a mile or so the proablem was gone.Seems it only does it when the engine is cold.Anyone have any ideas on what could be causing this,my truck was bought new last may and has only 9000 kms on it.

Did you maybe have the second or third 4wheel drive buttons engaged? That will do it.

my chevy did that and it was the rack and pinion

Does it to the same thing with your foot off the brake or on the brake? The brake hydroboost system runs off of the power steering pump, there have been many problems with this as to noise, hard steering, hard pedal ect on the H2, H3 and the H3T. I would go get it checked out at the dealer.
