RE: 08 H2 XM Radio issue.
The problem is not XM it the way GM has programed the radio and navigation system and I could careless if I have XM or Sirus.

RE: 08 H2 XM Radio issue.
This is good to hear. At first I was kind of regretting that I didn't get XM or Nav on my H2 but seems like the better option is to go after-market anyway.

I have no real issue with the Nav. As a matter of fact I found it to be a lot better then my Garmin.
It is the way that have setup XM once you are in motion that is just stupid. |

The manual stated that my system “may have this feature”. Well it seems GM did not add this feature to the 2008 model and I cannot not change the settings. So once the vehicle goes over 5 MPH I lose the ability to scroll through XM categories and also to enter a destination into the navigation system.
If anyone can tell me a way to get around this I would be very grateful! There is an aftermarket radio module that will fool the speed sensor into thinking the car is not moving. I use it so my wife can watch dvd's on the nav screen while i drive. It also alows you to program addresses in the nav while moving. It can be enabled and disabled by pushing the source button on the steering wheel. It is easy to install and i paid $200 for it. |
