07 Hummer h3 only turns on 1st time when cold

i been having problems starting up my 07 H3. It will always turn on on the first try of the day. But if I drive it around and park it for awhile and come back and turn it back in it will take 2-3 tries. I hear the fuel relay every time. Sometimes it just barely turns on not sure if it’s the fuel pump or how to check?

Do you still have the OEM Battery Terminal Connectors?

If so, #1 known problem for electrical Gremlins for H3s, and an inexpensive easy fix. Replace them with an aftermarket set like Stingers or your favorite brand.

It is also possible you have a bad ignition switch, and also an easy fix. Start with the easy stuff first.

Do you have an aftermarket alarm/remote start installed?

I do have the stock terminal. There in very good condition. And I do I have aftermarket alarm. I’m going to start with the ignition switch since it’s an easy change.

As Doc says, get rid of the stock battery terminal clamps. It's not IF they will cause problems, it's WHEN; regardless of how they "look". They ARE the cause of many, many H3 gremlins. Aftermarket alarms are also the cause of many electrical issues. H3's are extremely sensitive to voltage fluctuations/variations.

However, I agree that your issue sounds likely to be an ignition problem.

There is no such thing as H3 OEM Battery Terminal Connectors in "very good condition." They all are absolute pieces of chit from day 1.
