Good evening I've got an 06 H2 sut. Does anyone out there know if it's possible to disengage the transfer case to make it two wheel drive upon request. In other words can the transfer case be electronically modified to disengage the front wheel drive until needed? thanks very much

 

No It can not.

 

I guess you could disconnect and remove the front drive shaft. However if you have ever had an issue with the transfer case disconnecting, the thing is a dog without the front wheels pulling.


Really no benefit to not turning the front wheel with such a heavy rig.
