Default It’s time to sell the duramax

Back in 2014 I posted that I was going to sell my 2008 Ultramarine Limited Edition H2 suv, I had lots of interest and multiple offers that never seemed to pan out due to financing issues on the buyers end. I was also approached with numerous trade offers and partial trades. It was a real pain... so I finally just decided to keep it. Well here we are 5 years later and I’m ready to do something different, so before I list it on autotrader and have to field the phone calls and turn down the trade offers I thought I would offer it here one last time. The motor and trans have 140,000 miles on them. The truck is solid, the conversion was done by mash motors. There are a few photos from my last post in 2014 when I tried to sell it on the forum. I am going to list it for $45k.

Looks amazingly clean and can only imagine how great it must be with the D-Max. Only way I think I’ll get one it will be making my own. So great luck with sale!

That’s the problem with selling a 11 or 12 year old vehicle. Most banks will not loan on them and if they are willing it would require a big chunk out of pocket for a down payment. I just went thru it with the purchase of my 07... 45k gets a lot of vehicle so you have to find a Fan with some cash. I’m a big fan of what you are selling.

I appreciate the comments and compliments about the truck. Financing was the biggest issue when I tried to sell this thing a few years back, I had several deals fall through because the buyer could not get the funding they needed. This is a great truck that needs a good home, I am open to reasonable offers. I am not looking for any trades or partial trades. I had all kinds of partial trade offers last time everything from motorcycles to boats, and a monster truck built for the sema show. I am looking to sell it out right, and I am willing to entertain any reasonable offers. It is a clean rig that been well maintained.

If you look on AT, CG, Cars.com and other sites they are asking big money for similar stuff. I don’t know what they are selling at but it would seem like you are getting the Duramax conversion for free. Make an ad with lots of pictures and see what happens. I would ask 40k for mine if I was selling it and I don’t have a Duramax. I think for 100.00 you get an ad on AT until it sells and you need nationwide exposure to have a better chance of selling.

I appreciate your comments. I know it’s worth more. The problem is finding a buyer that has the cash to buy an 11 year old truck. The banks will only loan x amount on the vehicle because of the year, they don’t add loan value for the diesel conversion. The buyer will need to have the additional funds over the loan value to purchase the truck. I tried to price this at a reasonable price so it will sell. It’s a very good price. There is over 100k in this rig. On top of all of that it’s a 2008, there is a night and day difference in the 08-09 h2. All these other conversions I see are 2007 and older. This truck is priced to sell. I would love to see it go to somebody on the forum.
