Well, I'm proud to say that i was the second owner of an H3 2006, on may 2006 in Luxembourg . As soon we could get one that year, i've sold my 3 door Nissan Patrol GR Y61 that year with only +- 45000 Miles on it. NEVER regret it even if the GR is a great off road vehicle.

164,132 Total H3's is the highest number I have found. That's still a very LOW number over 5yrs, considering GM sells around 9million vehicles per year:
Total number reported 6/30/2011:
Total at time of recall 05/07/2010(by "model year"): The variance in the numbers would be from the 2010's sales.

Number of vehicles affected: 164,993 in the United States. Including Canada, Mexico and exports, the total recall population is 196,379. GM Authority
General Motors South Africa Struandale Assembly Plant, Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape, South Africa – built in 1996, expanded to 75,625 square meters (814,000 sq ft) to build H3 models. H3 production ended 2009. General Motors Shreveport Operations, Shreveport, Louisiana – in 2005, to accommodate the production of the H3, an additional 296,000 square feet (27,500 m2) was added to plant built by GM in 1981. In July 2009, GM had shut down HUMMER production of the H3, but the automaker had a special fleet order from Avis Rent a Car System.
