Default High fuel consumption

This is to discuss the reasons behind high fuel consumption in my truck. 2 or 3 months back it was normal. But now the fuel consumption has increased gradually. I can't feel any difference in power or anything. Can somebody specify the common reasons behind this? My vehicle is 2006 Ford 6.0L Powerstroke. I hope people with good knowledge in Ford diesel engine repair can help me with their replies.

The ford 6 L is the biggest pile of crap ever made!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...!!!!
I've worked in multiple diesel engine shops and they all refuse to work on that engine. Just replace with new engine every second or third oil change. Maybe you should take the old ford 6 L out and do a engine conversion on a hummer with it since the hummer engines are so easy to swap.

All cars are going to see a decrease in performance after a number of years in my opinion. That's why you have to do your best to maintain and service your car. Changing your car filters and making sure your tyres are in good shape are just some simple ways to make sure that your car is performing as it should even if it suffers A LITTLE in its fuel economy.

Decrease is rather vague. What are you experiencing to show this? My 6.0 never had any fluctutations other than based on how I drove it. I've spent a fair amount of time under the hood on it, too.

Somehow, I feel this thread was actually an ad, though.

I should think that all cars will suffer their own decrease in performances after a couple of years of use, but a change in 2-3 months makes me think that this guy probably hit a snag in the road of something and forgot to get it checked out. Hopefully he's managed to get his problems fixed. He must have been pretty desperate to get Ford advice in the Hummer forum like some of you guys pointed out...
