I always wanted a Hummer ever since I road in an H1 years ago. Finally got one last summer, an 03 that despite 100+k miles it was in pristine condition. I’ve frequented this board since then for insight into some small issues and advice. Look forward to being an active member of the board.

I just recently registered with this website my wife has a beautiful H2 Hummer that we converted from airbags to Coolsprings we bought the springs from a company called strut Masters they never told us anything about spring isolators. I put both springs in and I put new shocks in the back while I had the vehicle apart because it needed new shocks the old ones were definitely leaking.

I spent several hours installing the springs and shocks. After a few weeks of use my wife noticed a weird noise coming from the rear how determined that maybe the powder coating is rubbing off of the springs and causing the mysterious noise coming from the back because I believe that if the springs or metal to metal on the plate above the rear axle that's what's causing the noise I'm looking to find out given the fact that I bought springs from strut Masters is there a place where I can get spring isolators obviously strut Masters do not sell them which they should

Wink

when you go to these websites that sell parts they should have trained personnel at completely understand what you're trying to do fortunately for my wife she has 100 it's in excellent condition we just wanted to be in the position where she did not have to continue to buy airbags for the rear and I think the springs are a great idea just been able to buy the spring isolators would be a very cool thing and my wife would be happy.

i'm pretty familiar with working on hummer so if you ever have any questions don't has to take to touch base with me

Springs with no isolater

Doing this task takes time if you do NOT want to get hurt
Air bags do not last long in Phoenix
Took our air bags and installed StrutMaster springs
Air bags / air shocks do not need isolaters
