New Member H3T LS3 HummTee
Hello fellow Hummer Enthusiasts. Actually have been a member since Jan but never got around to posting anything. just a lot of browsing. In Jan I purchase my first Hummer.
2009 H3T Alpha Base
LS3 Conversion 376/480HP; 430lbs torque
4L60E Heavy Duty Transmission
4" Rancho Suspension Lift Kit
BFGoodrich K02 35 Inch
This Hummtee is a beast. I would recommend all Alphas be swapped with an LS3. I have learned so much about my rig and finding out more about it everyday. I have only taken out to some trails a few times. Since it is the Base model I have to equip the Hummtee with the gears and lockers, which I look forward to. This is my first GM vehicle, although it is a Hummer, GM has its downs with common problems, but I'm willing to deal with it. I've had worst. I'm hear to learn and pass on the knowledge that I have learned. Especially with the perks and disadvantages of having aftermarket parts installed.
Future plans:
Custom Roof Rack
Custom Rock Sliders
Custom Over the hood Bumper and guard.
eventually 37" BFG KM3's
Glad to be here, By the way, If your in South California, it'll be cool to meet up and hit up some trails.

Welcome to HF fellow T owner. Congrats on the purchase.
I'm not sure how someone can recommend "all Alphas be swapped with an LS3" if this is their first HUMMER.
We have been plenty happy with our 4 past Alphas performance and also happy with our current 2010 H3T Alpha OffRoad.
If I want to go fast there are tons of other vehicles much faster than a swapped LS3 T.

More power is better and I'm sure there a lot of faster cars and trucks out there. Just because I'm newer to Hummers doesn't mean I'm new to cars and trucks. But with the LS3 it can compare to the Raptor. Experienced it myself on the road. I have driven another H3 Alpha before. not mine but I can really tell the difference. Please tell me why did you go through 4 Alphas.

Never said we went through 4 Alphas, I said "We have been plenty happy with our 4 past Alphas performance"

I wish you the best of luck keeping the front diff, trans and many other parts whole with the LS3 or while trying to run with a Fordskin "Rapper".
