Hey all, I recently fulfilled my childhood dream of owning a HUMMER. I purchased a 2008 Hummer H3 Alpha in Black from a dealership with 109k on the odometer this past summer. It has double the sentimental value to me because my mother whom I was very close to, loved it as well and saw it not long before she passed away. I absolutely love this truck. I have the ARB front and rear steel bumpers with an ARB roof rack as well. I was hoping to find some local Texas groups that meet up, I am a total off-road novice but joined the Hummer club Inc. as well as this forum in hopes to meet others and hopefully do some wheeling or camping! Congrats to you for owning a 2008 Alpha! There are numerous Hummer owners here in Texas. I love five houses from an H2 owner and just around the block from an H2 owner. There are four or five other H3 owners here in my small town near Waco. Welcome! Post some pics...

Yup, black is a great color... until you have to wash it so often! Never thought I would own a yellow vehicle! Hope our paths cross in the future. Hummer owners need to see each other more often! Welcome!

 

Congrats. I am also in Waco. HCI doesn't do much around here. Mod Mafia, out of Houston, usually does a Moab trip each year. I am in a group that has done Moab 20+ times and starting to go to Sand Hollow since Moab has gotten so expensive and anti-off road. My wife had an H3 Alpha/Adventure for years and loved it.
