I ended up having to replace the entire CTIS, the diesel injection pump, the lift pump, shocks, geared hub seals, and I forget what else. That was in 2013.

Even with all the headache initially, it has turned out to be a great truck! What a machine!! I love it. Ended up putting Alpha wheels and side mirrors on mine, limo tint all around, and replaced the stock cargo area carpet with a premium black berber. MUCH easier to keep clean.

It looks like the H1 you were looking at doesn't have the CTIS connected, based on the appearance of the rims. That, or my eyesight is gone. The AC in these things sucks, going to say that right now. Stockpile parts as you come across them, too. Sometimes it's weeks or months before something is available.

Overall, I wouldn't trade my H1 for anything. Just be aware that these babies need to be driven a couple times a month to stay in good shape, and never take it above 60 mph. They just aren't meant for highway speeds.
    Enjoy!

Hi! Not sure why my reply in your thread wasn't approved by a mod, but I'll just message it to you.

I have a 99 H1. I looked for a long time before I found an H1 that hadn't been wrecked, no smokers, etc. Had the prepurchase inspection done at the certified Hummer service center locally (per the list of centers provided by AM General / Hummer). Clean bill of health! Yeah right...turns out the previous owner was in cahoots with the shop, they failed to note right around $12,000 of stuff that needed repair or replacement. CTIS failed on me 100 miles north of Denver (drove it from Ohio to AZ when I bought it) and left me stranded at the side of the road. These can only be flat-bed towed, fyi!

It worked out though, I was going to stop in Aurora, CO to have GOBI install the custom roof rack and ladders.
