Hot air has started blowing out of the driver side vent. I took it to the Chevrolet dealership and they informed me that it was the temperature actuator. With parts, labor, and programming I will be out of $500.00. Is this an easy fix? Something that I could do myself? Where is the best place to get the part from? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have the interior spare tire mount in my H2. I was wondering if there is a way that I could get an outside spare tire rack/mount instead.
