Thanx Girlie! At least my 19 year-old son just got a job working in the uniform shop here at the Marine Base, so maybe he won't be so deep in my pockets! LOL!

Ah, pageants, that is expensive. I was in cheerleading and volleyball and that was expensive - good luck with that! My boys are 11 and 13 & the toys are getting expensive. I'm getting them a '40 Chevy truck to start tinkering with, I hope it keeps their interest under the hood and out of the back seat. I'm not looking forward to the next 5 years! Enjoy the pagaents

I've got one in college who wants to be a Marine pilot, and a 15 year old daughter who is quite the handful herself. She's a finalist in the North Carolina Junior Teen Miss Pageant. Man, that stuff is expensive!

Hi Semper, I am in Wisconsin, 30 mins from the capital (Madison). I moved here from the Chicago area for work. I visit NC quite a bit and I love it. I won't move until my 2 boys are old enough to be on their own. Their dad still lives in IL so it's important they see him as much as I can manage (he's ex USMC). If I ever move south it won't be any closer than 4 hours to Greensboro, my mom is a lot to handle, we need distance lol

Thanx beachbum, I'll check that out. I really have no idea what I want to do yet. It's pretty much a blank slate at this point.

Hi there SemperSaint from Myrtle Beach SC. Check out Clubhummer.com. Quite a few military Hummer owners over there. Most CHO members actually wheel their Hummers, lol. Not trying to steer you away from this site just trying to widen you're search base. There are also a few club runs coming up in April from Moab to Rausch Creek PA if you want to go wheel that new H3. Between the two sites you should connect with quite a few fellow Hummer owners in NC.

Hey Girlie, NC is OK. It's no Hawaii (where I moved here from), but it's not too bad. Greensboro is about 4 hours from here. I still haven't been there. Where are you in the north?

Nice ride. How's NC? My entire family is in the Greensboro area. Makes me wonder why I'm still in the cold north...
