Exclamation HELP! engine starts and runs but dies when key released

I have a 2007 h3 with the I5 3.7L. 188,000 miles and a fresh trans rebuild.
When I go to drive it, it starts and runs awesome but when you release the key from the crank position it does immediately reguardless of if your idling or reving.
I have deleted passkey/CATS through PCMs for less so it's not that. I've read some threads that say ignition switch but most people with these symptoms had no luck with that.
The big part of this is if I hold it forward I can drive a mile or two and release the key and it stays on no problem. It didn't happen all the time at first but now it's every time I go to drive it. I have no clue what's going on here. Any help?

I'm go out on a limb here and say it or ask?
Did the H3 do this directly after the trans replacement?

No, it ran fine after the trans swap. It started a few weeks later and it was only every now and then. Now it's almost every time.
Im going to dive in this week and check the connections and wires to the ignition and double check my fuses and relays. If I find nothing then next weekend I'll buy a new ignition and switch it out.

I've also found if I start it while giving it gas so as to rev to about 3k rpm it most always runs Fine and I can release the key as it falls back to idle speed

negative, I cleaned the mass, intake and TB up nicely about 2,000 miles before this.

I'm referring to an internal computer error with the TB chip. From what I understand there is a computer connection to the TB that has to function correctly or you get all kinds of cr@p going on.
