Man, that sucks!! I hope that they do the right thing by you. I am going through a similar issue right now with a Ford Freestyle. Nothing but problems right from the beginning. I called the dealership this morning, because the check engine light came on again. I was asked "if the car is under warranty?" When I stated that it was, they told me that they could not help me, because they are no longer a Ford dealership. When I brought it in last month for the traction control light being on, they told me that "we can not find a problem with it." Then they tried to charge me a "diagnostic fee." The car was under warranty.

God Bless and Have Mercy on America!!!

Don't be discouraged just by 'hummer' for poor service after the sale. I've bought several new and used cars from dealerships and mostly the same one (Pontiac). I've been lucky with just about every one of my cars and I normally do everything myself, unless it's a warranty issue (figure it's covered, why not). Well, ever since they were bought out by a corporate dealership network, the service has been horrendous (latest my 06 GTO I bought new from there) and has me hesitant on buying a Hummer as it's one of the only ones nearby. Then after they give you a PITA on a rental, you get some cheap econobox; why not something at least close?!? Then they keep your car for 5 days and not a single item was done. Love the cannot duplicate. Argh!

Sucks about your experience though and hopefully that'll be the only thing. Sounds like a fluke incident.

I tell them i'm heading back on 2/5 so set at dealer for 4 hours before I can get a rental car.
Where did you go, Medved?

I'm having trouble following long trips (100 miles +). I am getting a traction control system failure and service 4WD message the first time I restart the engine after a trip. I have an appointment with the dealer on Thursday. This is the second time since January and the last time I had it in they replaced the transmission control module. Since the original post mentioned 3 hours into the trip there was a problem, I'm curious if any of my symptoms are similiar? The dealer told me to keep driving it until I can get it in too.
