We had one and loved it.

 

Tainter, since youve had both, how do the sticks drive compared to the autos? does it make it feel any lighter or more fun to drive? my auto shifts surprisingly well for the old four speed but ive always preferred to drive stick.

 

We have never owned an I5 automatic. I5 Manual or Alpha (V8) only.
I can't compare the two of those. They are like apples and oranges.

No bad on your part. I have wrenched on a few I5 autos in my day. Never driven one extensively.
