I had a bucket (not the bob cat type) full of gravel drop in the bed and the rear dropped about 2-3", the T trucked along just fine if that helps any.

I believe I had 1 cubic yard in the bed which was 1.4 tons? This was a few years ago.

Payload on the H3T is 1/2 ton, 1080lbs to be exact.

I have way over loaded the bed with 1500lbs (.75) tons and it was riding on the leaf spring bumpstops. I only went 3 miles to get home. I wouldn't recommend it for anything longer than 5 miles.

Same as your truck with 1500lbs in the bed, WAAAYYY over loaded!

Spend the extra $ and have the 1.7 tons delivered. Save your trans, brakes and springs.

I think you should get it delivered as well.
