Default Battery draining

Been having an issue with my 09 h3t's battery draining. Noticed the little light next to the CD player turns on even with the key off and CD player makes noise. Tried pulling the CD player to see if anything was stuck in it. Player was empty. Also will not load discs into it(6 disc radio)

Could be the alternator? My H2 started draining rapidly while I was on a road trip, tried replacing the 6 year old battery and that still didn’t work.Had to replace the alternator, then all was good!

Also, another post on this forum mentioned that it could be Onstar or other electrical components draining your battery even when the vehicle is off

not the alternator... had it tested. Also recently replaced battery. I noticed the red light next to the CD player staying on at all times. I pulled fuse #13 (radio) problem has gone away seems to be related to that. Any other suggestions?

Make sure all of the door pin switches are operational. Retained Accessory Power (RAP) will not shut the radio and accessories off if you have a faulty pin switch.

It is possible the ignition switch is not shutting down the accessory power.

That RED light is a security light on the radio.
