Default Will stock wheels fit new Tahoe?

Does anyone know if the stock factory H3 wheels will fit on a 2011 or 2012 Chev. Tahoe?

Unless your factory wheels are 18" H3X, no. You need a 17" or larger wheel to clear the brake calliper.

Sundown-- Thanks for the reply. I did not know that the brake caliper on the Tahoe was so large that it would not clear my H3 stock 16" wheels. I guess when you can tow 8,500 you need large brakes.
Looks like I will sell a set of 5 brand new factory 285-75-16 tires and wheels locally.

Its not the caliper is to large but the rotor diameter is larger and pushes the caliper farther out. When trying to put them on, the wheel will hit the brake caliper and not go on.

How did you find this out? It sounds like you actually tried to fit the H3 wheel on the Tahoe?

Tainter - Thanks for the heads up. I will try him be my new tires are 285-75-16 and since they are factory balanced on the 5 original wheels (with sensors) it makes more sense to sell them as a unit. Also, shipping would make it a no big deal. It is really for someone in the Phoenix or Arizona area

I have never tried it on a Tahoe but I see them ever day at work and a 16" wheel is simply to small (that is why they come stock with 17's). My father did test this with a 16" OEM Silverado wheels off his 02 on his 06 (which came with 17's) and they were to small in diameter to clear the calliper. They will fit on the rear but not on the front.
