Well the question is in the title, what ipod \stereo upgrades work with the stock stereo system? The last thread on this was from 2006, and i am assuming someone must have upgraded recently.

I have a 2007 H3 that is completely stock...no XM here. Checking around most kits\harnesses want that XM function...so what can I use? I am sick to death of my iphone's car adapter getting bled into by other stations.

According with our dealer, a Kenwood system should work. But is about a '09 Alpha that should arrive by end of this month. I will let you know.

 

i put an mp3 adaptor unit made by USASPEC in my car, it mounts under the center console and has a cable that comes up though the console to hook up to an ipod

That crutchfield part only works if you have the single cd, non-XM radio.

From what I understand, if you have the 6 disc in-dash changer, non-XM radio.. you have no options for an ipod adapter.

Can someone PLEASE prove me wrong on this one, I would appreciate it.

I also have a 2007 3.7, with monsoon sound, and a 6 disc in-dash changer, NO XM.
