Default Volant question ?

Howdy,

I am considering the Volant CAI and I am wondering if I install a throttle body spacer...would the dimensions still align up or be doable for the air tube ?....and without fail this would pitch a pcm code...and without making another thread..does the 06 H3 have torque management files ?

Steve.

Not out of order. but in general most of us here believe that Throttle Body spacers on our engines do nothing. Except waste some money.

Give the AirDoc intake a good look. I've had one on my 2007 for a few years.
The price is right.

My GF's H3 06 (Sugar Baby) has a spacer on it. The PO had placed it on there and jacked up the whole intake and the bolt/threads that hold the resonator box down to the engine. I've yet to see any noticeable difference +/- for fuel savings with her ride. We have done a sh@t load of things to Sugar Baby and fixing this Hodge podge mess was one that some Hummer folks helped with.

If you wheel your rig you may want to stay with a closed box system that houses the filter (like the OEM).

Not sure what type the volant is. Removing the crazy plastic snake and replacing it with a straight pipe will liven up the I5. AirDoc has a great product and I've seen some decent DIYs on here also.

If ya pull the stock airbox out and look into the fender..is there excessive balony that needs to come out...that is where the air flow restriction usually is....its in the fender..been my experience anyway...I have three other toys and have CAI and exhaust on them all.

Total rubbish. You either didn't install it properly or bought the wrong unit that does not fit your application.
