i paid my dues, a couple hours bouncing around sites/youtube, and cannot just see how the filter tube plugs into the gasket/ring/???

nothing shows how to remove/replace that ring,or the position of it.

so here i am, after hours elsewhere!!...please help with a pix.

I did mine a month ago, the filter just plugs into the oil passage. When you remove the original filter, just put the new one in. Its pretty simple. I installed a drain plug into my pan at the same time. Just make sure they give you the right filter.
I have the Alpha, NAPA gave me the filter it called for but it was wrong, took a little looking through their books to match up the correct one.
I just had to give the original filter a little pull and it came out, the new one just pushed up in until you feel it bottom out.

I assume you mean seal, it should go on the tube that protrudes from the filter. Its not difficult at all, the old rubber seal should come off when you remove the filer, if not you can reach it easily with a little pick and pull it out.

actually the pix is upside down, you know.

many pages of data hidden and hard to find.
