RE: Spider Diff Cover/guard - worth it ???
I have this one from Boulder Accesories:

It was easy to put on and it sells for under $200.All you do is remove 4 bolts on the rear diff. put the cover on replace the 4 bolts and attach a u-bolt on the front side and your done.
It looks good and will protect the diff. from just about anything.

I've never known ARB to make anything but first rate REAL off road gear. I would expect that quality from them. However...I'd be worried about the dip stick in the diffs. I wonder how long it willhold a seal under water? The diffs get hot and need to vent hot gasses, normally the vent tubes handle that job but if they get kinked or plugged will the heat blow the dip stick out?

They are not just for backing the diff cover into something but driving over a ledge or rock and the diff sliding down the other side.
I broke my spidy body off on one ledge at Nasty. It has taken some hard hits and scrapes.

i like the dif cover more for the drain plug than protection, mostly b/c I am ****-retentive about changing fluids (shouldn't complain my 86 Isuzu Trooper made it to 175K). I am planning on a rear dif cover soon, but would love to find a front with a drain plug. Anyone know of one?
