Spare Fuses missing, then loose?
 

OK. I did the search and got nothin'. Wanna comment, go here.

Anyway, after breaking all the tabs on the fuse box lid, and opening, I found that all the spare fuses were missing.
Odd, but, whatever. So, I purchased a set, and put them into the spare fuse spots. They seemed to fit awfully loose.
A couple of days later, I opened the lid, again, and found most of the fuses had bounced out of there slots.

So, since there are no electrical connectors in those slots, I assume that's why they bounced out. Correct?

What has everyone else done? Keep their spares in the glove box, tape the fuses down, or what?

In a small zip lock bag in the glove box, or you can buy one of those assorted fuses in the tiny box and throw that in the glove box, console, under the seat....

Had my 07 for 12 years, never needed a fuse.

I broke the tabs of two fuse box lids trying to get them off when very cold outside. Velcro strap keeps the lid tight and in place.

'Spare' might not mean extra fuse storage, but cavities for possible future electrical connections that had not been offered at the time of production.

Never looked at it that way. Good point, Halo.

So, has anyone that purchased their Hummer new, had any 'extra' fuses in the fuse box?

However, I found a piece of anti-static foam, from my days at HP, and put that on top of the 'spare' fuses. Still in place. Now, to fasten the lid down.

Purchased new....zero extra fuses which leads me back to my original thought.

Yes, mine had 3, probably still there, right above the fuse puller. The fuse box lid shows five spots above the fuse puller for "spare" fuses.
