Default Serpentine tensioner

I am enjoying the smells and sounds of a slipping serpentine belt in the 2007 H3. Bought a new belt in Autozone and then ran into the problem of removing the pressure from the tensioner pulley to remove the old belt. As far as I can see, the center of the pulley has a round, not square hole. What gizmo is needed to move the pulley down?

Id replace the tensioner too, good maintenance and if your belt is noisy now, may have a weak spring in it.

Any long 1/2" breaker bar will work, the square hex is not in the center of the Tensioner Pully, it is in the body arm of the Tensioner itself.

I carry a spare breaker bar and replacement belt in my truck.
It is not that difficult to change when you're off road and no one is around

Went to AutoZone to buy the tensioner roller assembly and take advantage of their generous tool loaner plan. Everything went well until I got to the refitting the belt. With the long bar there wasn’t enough room to get sufficient pull. The small bar which works with the long one has a 1/2 inch nub and the hole is 3/8 inch. Went back in, bought an adapter and two minutes later was running the engine.
Life is good and many thanks to all for the advice. I must admit the last time I changed a belt was on a VW bug many years ago.

Not sure why anyone would need to "buy" (or borrow) a belt tensioner tool when you just need a ratchet or breaker bar, but whatever floats their boat!
