The dash temp gauge is basically useless, more of an idiot light with a needle. Yours might say 3/4, mine might say 1/2, the actual temp could be cooler in yours than mine. You need to scan through the OBDII to read actual temp. My replacement T Stat keeps coolant temp at 193-195F, right were it is supposed to be.
I do have a CSF aluminum radiator, runs the same temp as my old OEM did just doesn't build much above that on hot humid days in stop & go.
Anything 3/4 or below is normal and designed to run that way.
