Default RockyRoad super sliders installed w/ OEM side steps.

I got tired of looking at my Rock Sliders sitting in storage so I decided to install them today. Now because my GF and her mom "need" to use the OEM side steps to get in the H3; I decided to see if I could install those sidesteps along with the rock sliders. As you can tell by the photo they fit. No modification was needed. Now I can take off the OEM side steps whenever I go off road. Hopefully they will get used to stepping on the sliders to get in and out so I can get rid of the OEM sidebars.

P.S. I also installed a 52" Thule wind fairing the week before, seems to cut down on the wind noise when driving on the highway.

Personally, it is just a lot easier to tell your passengers to get in and skip the nerf bar steps. H3s ain't no mini van.

I agree with Doc Olds.. But sometimes a fella has to take one for the team.. Especially if he wants to keep on buying mods....

If only it were that easy Doc. :-) The good news is that after getting some "constructive" criticism from them I think I can ditch the nerf bars after I put some non skid tape on the sliders. #weshallsee

Non-skid tape, or maybe even hit them with rattle can bedliner. That stuff makes a rough non-slip surface as well.

IMHO - run the sliders or the OEM steps, not both.
