Just wondering what you guys recommend for some 20x9" inch rims I'm going to soon put on my 2006 H3. Looking for something that won't scrub, and that will look "rugged". I really like the Nitto Trail Grapplers, but I'm worried if they will scrub. My dad suggested 33" tires. What do you think? And also, I can't have a wider width cause of a law here in Georgia.

 

you wont find much research done here on 20 in wheels for "rugged" use.
most run 16 in and fat tires.

 

35s are the only way to go. What laws are there?? I know some guys there and they run fat tires on stock wheels. with 9" wide wheels they are gonna stick out alot more than stock ones anyways

 

I have 35's on 20's, and love them. gas mileage went down a little.

 

I don't go off road with my H3, Im just looking for that military look. My dad told me about some law here in Georgia where you can't have rediculous tires sticking out so that rocks wont fly up and hit the car behind you. But Ive seen so many trucks around here with tires stick so far out it's crazy. And if I go with 35's, would I have to lift it??

 

No, 35's will fit on the stock suspension, even without leveling.

Be careful when selecting the offset of your wheels. Running 35s on anything less than 0 mm offset will probably have them rub on the rear of the front wheel wells.
