top secret stuff!

you give bits and piecse!! quote"This was TWO YEARS ago! Now way this is the problem.." quote partly because i want to help, part b c i am really interested in this problem. your piecemeal micro revalation is not helpful. one more try. did you find the 2 wires that go to the lock mechanism and PUT 12V ON THEM???? if not you dont know if its bad. if you did you really should leak that info,,,soon its hard to figure anything not knowing all about what, when things happened. ill just listen from here on.

you can get the wires in the back door if necessary. 12 one way locks, reverse polarity unlocks huh.
if nothing makes noise,,,its dead

problem solved

I was locked out of my rear hatch due to the battery going dead. It has happened several times over the years and after being boosted the drivers window and the power locks no longer work. Over a short period of time the drivers window and locks start working again except this time. The window and door locks still don't work. I just got back from vacation and I left my key on accidentally running the battery down to dead. I really needed to get my stuff out of the back and I really did not want to pull everything thru the passenger doors. I searched and came up with this thread. I really felt like GM would make it possible to unlock the rear door if this happens and sure enough there is a way to open the door thru the jack access in the door. I could feel the lock mechanism with my hand. There is an opening in the bottom of the black box. I just put my finger in the hole and was feeling around and bumped a small lever and I tripped it(no effort required, I just bumped it) and it unlocked the door. I could now go grocery shopping and not have to load the groceries into both rear passenger doors. Yeah!!!! Just stick your finger in the hole and feel around. Lol. I hope this helped someone.
