Last year, I got a p0430 code (bank 2 catalytic converter below threshold), and after being told a new cat (1 of 2) was over $1200, I decided to try the bent non-fouler from an exhaust shop. Worked perfectly and haven't had that code since.

Last week, I had p0420 appear---same code, but for the left cat (bank 1). So, I had the same thing done and haven't had that code since.

But, yesterday I had a P013B code appear (HOS2 slow response lean to rich sensor 2). I Checked that the O2 sensor was connected, and cleared the code. It hasn't come up since, but its got me thinking that the o2 sensor might be going. Nothing else major/ severe here, I'm thinking.

Question: given that I am already changing the values of the o2 readings with the two nonfoulers, is it worth it to change my o2 sensors.

Second question: how many o2 sensors (in total) are on the 5.3l V8? I know there are 2 downstream (post-cat), and 2 upstream (pre-cat). But, are there additional ones under the hood?

Last question: I've seen some pretty straightforward YouTube videos on how to change the o2 sensors. Can't really go wrong aside from loosening it (may need PB blaster), unplugging, and plugging new one in, right?

Wow where to begin...

If I'm reading this message correctly you've bypassed, tricked some stuff because you needed a cat and had error codes and now more error code messages. I'm going to guess its a bad cat and damage to o2 sensors due to rigging the system.
