Default No sound from speakers or door chimes

2006 H3 with 58,000 miles.

Replaced the stock headunit with a pioneer avic cd/dvd/nav unit. Has worked fine for the past 11 months and when left for work this morning noticed there was no sound or door chimes? Besides the Access GMOS adapter what could cause this? Any ideas? thanks in advance.

The stock speakers are crappy, its not a surprise. Pull the door panel and test with a new speaker. I bet that fixes it.

Default The usual suspects

It would be very coincidental that all 6/7 speakers would go at once so check all fuses, wires that could be pinched, the last place someone was messing, etc.

Yeah, if all 6 speakers went it is probably under the dash. I read door chime and no sound so I figure drivers door, wasnt too clear to me there. I would recheck my connections at the radio/adaptor. I hope the radio's fuse isn't blown, too easy. Of course if he never comes back we wont know...

Thanks for the replies. Head unit gets power and powers on just no sound or door chimes. Going to pull the head unit and take a look. Hoping its just a bad connection but strange it is all the speakers.

I lost both my left channel speakers within days of each other. I never noticed the rear one puked first, but when the front one followed it became obvious. That little tweeter sounded pretty weird when it was the only left sound in the truck.

Pulled the aftermarket nav unit and connected the factory radio....still no sound. Unit is getting power, checked the wiring, checked fuses, any other guesses..... I did connect the nav unit to another vehicle and all is well.

Default Same proublem

I have an 07 H3, I have experienced the same problem. However, I don't have an amp. I have been to two separate dealers and both said I don't have am amp even though there is a fuse for one. I have checked the wires and everything looks good. I even purchased a working used head unit and it does the same thing when I hooked it up. I have lost the chimes and all sound except the A-post speakers are extreamly low. I know its a connection issue because the speakers would come on and go off form one side to another when I would hit a big pothole. If I should be able to track this down Ill re-post. If not ill continue to use my blue tooth speaker connected to my cell phone...
