Lost My Keys
I've somehow lost both of my H3 keys. I was hoping I could have new ones cut by giving my VIN to the dealership and get new ones. I'm afraid it's a programmed key and am gonna have to tow my truck to the dealership to get new ones.....anyone have to deal with this?

H3 keys are not chipped/programmed, keyfobs are (dealer programming only). Not usre if the dealer can replace your key using the VIN.
Once you DO get a key made, make a spare and hide it under/behind front bumper with a keylocker (I use the nylon/velcro type). Every single vehicle on my property has a spare key hidden underneath. |
Just a little info. Needed a new key for my '06 H3 because one I had was worn and not working in the ignition cylinder. Went to the dealer gave them my VIN. Found out my H3 was imported to Canada from South Dakota in 2008. The dealer got the key code from the U.S. and had a key cut a few days later. You may need your ownership and drivers license to get a new key cut. Try a different stealership if you have issues getting a key.

Yes remotes are only programmed by the dealer but chipped keys can be programmed at cheap by locksmith also.
