Default Looking for official reference on tire size

Hi,

Where can I find reference from GM/Hummer, that the 2008 Alpha was offerred with 285 size tires?
In the user manual it has only the 265's

I need an official leaflet, spec' sheet, maual etc.
Please note, I don't live in USA so I have no access to GM / Hummer dealers
The DMV here will not register the truck if it does not have tires which are a size originally offered by the manufactirer. (not spec's written in 3rd party websites).
If there is official reference to larger tire size it would be great.

Thank you,

The only H3's that came with 285's were ones with the Adventure Package. Whether it was an alpha or not, is irrelevant. If you were to find a 2008 owners manual online, it may list the 285 as an option. Just use your Google-Fu and start searching.

You can download an Owners Manual at Hummer.com

All the owners manuals I found online have 265's only.
Anyone have a link?
Hou about a link to a brochure?
Sales leaflet with options?
Other idea?

Thanks

And more newbee questions:

What does the adventure package on the Aplha contain?
How do I know if a certain truck has the package (or part of it), is it noted in the VIN?

Thank you

Alphas with 285's were with the off road package. There wasn't an Adventure package with the Alphas, since the trim part of the Adventure package was standard in alphas.

On all 5 cylinders they called it the Adventure Pkg on all the Alphas they called it the Offroad Pkg. Basically the same Pkg. They did upgrade the front diffs to cast iron on the Adventure Pkg in 2009. The Alphas no matter what pkg had cast iron diffs. You may do enough searching to find an official GM breakout of the Pkgs. Good Luck
