Default Light Bar Removal - Holes in Plastic?

I have a Plus 1 Light Bar on top that I want to remove... it mounts with 4 screws into the plastic trim that runs the length of each side. Do these holes need to be plugged when I remove the light bar? Will water getting in the holes be an issue? I'm not sure what's under the plastic...

The plastic trim isn't waterproof, a few more holes won't make a difference. The roof is designed to drain water from that area down the A and D pillars behind the trim.

For an easy cosmetic fix, use small black trim plugs to cover the holes. They kinda look like thumb tacks in size and shape. You may have to drill out the holes a little bigger to match the plug's locking posts. An autoparts shop, your dealer, or an online store should stock them.
