I went across Oklahoma last weekend from east to west up and down hills and got 16.5mpg at 75-80 with the a/c on. For the return trip I stopped at a Shell station and filled up. The Shell gas, I have heard and now verified, gets a little better mileage. In this case it was 19.3mpg doing 70-75 with minimal a/c use where I normally would get 17.5-18.0 under the same conditions. When I use the Walmart gas here in Tulsa I consistantly get 1mpg less every time when compared to the gas at the Quick Trip station. These aren't just one off numbers, these are regularly repeated results for me.

I just returned from a cross province/state trip into the mountains and back to the flat lands of where we live, tracked the fuel and miles and got 22 mpg both ways. My speed was never greater than 110 kmph (66 miles per hr) and tried to not use the AC as much. I put in fuel treatment every tank and every 3rd tank I put in the SeaFoam. Works like a charm and even had a good time off road on the trails.
I agree with the statement that the place where you buy your gas DOES make a difference. keep on Humm'in.
