Hey, where'd you get that Radiator?

How much was your radiator?

Where did you buy it?

How is it performing?

I'm trying to get a consensus on the best "bang for your buck" when replacing the faulty factory H3 radiator.

Inevitably, someone's gonna post, "there's an old saying, you get what you pay for" -- but most of us who have been around the block once or twice, know that that's not always true.

Remember, another old saying that goes, "there's a sucker born every minute."

Hopefully, if we get a few responses, we can come to a reasonable conclusion.

Thanks!

OE Replacement Radiator (New) — 9589A Silla

$110.66+tax & Free shipping
Got mine in 1 day after ordering and it is well built, same weight as factory and I only needed to transfer the trans lines clips, ac condensor nuts, trans vent tube clamp, and rad cap.

3yrs later still holding strong and I haven't had to add any coolant since install.

I have the Silla as well. 40-45K miles and almost 4 years, still going strong. I think it was about $125. If it broke today I would replace it with the all aluminum one on GStyle4U.

Thanks Doc.

I know you'll disagree and it would be nice to have the aluminum for sure -- but based on others experiences, I'm going for the Silla -- 'cause I can do a lot with the $439 bucks I'll save.

Thanks for your help.

:)

Ebay... $100 or less... 2 years later still works :)

***UPDATE***

FYI

This radiator has worked flawlessly for 16 months, including 2 summers. No leaks, never required additional coolant, temp gauge stayed under half-way mark even under stress on 100 degree days.

The one I purchased was the OSC 2855 Radiator for $110.79

I added the AC DELCO RC85 (GM OEM) for $7.83

The total w/ tax and shipping was $145.76 -- it was purchased from Rockauto.com

FYI

Since I'm poking around in this forum this week about to replace my thermostat, I figured I could give another update here to maybe help out anyone in the radiator market:

New update on my $110 Silla radiator that I installed 7yrs ago; Still (no leak)
https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.hum...fbfe2d116d.pngSilla radiator outlasted the oe radiator! It could also be that my mod made it happen?
