HELP - Hummer won't move in any gear.
Yesterday while driving down the highway at 110km/h my car revved up like it was in neutral. I pulled over and then discovered the car wouldn't drive in any gear. There was no noise when this happened. Tow truck came and the car can roll while in park. Transfer case issue? Any known specifics on what can cause this? Any recommended fixes?
The H3 was warmed up but temp was close to -35 celsius. 2006 H3 Lux Thanks. |
probably transmission, input shaft could have sheared. Transfer case only transfer power to the front wheels, so rear wheels would still drive if it failed.

Bad Encoder motor could've shifted the transfer case to neutral; try cycling the 4wd hi/4wd hi-lock/4wd lo-lock buttons a few times. |
Or............... your trans is toast.

I had a H2 in my shop one time that the shifter linkage on the trans was disconnected. The owner told me about it once we told him there was a problem with his truck, he told me " Yea, it dones that from time to time, just toss another zip tie on there for me"
