H3 Stereo Panel
 

Hi all,

Having a nightmare of a time.

Short story, had a Pioneer radio installed about a year ago by a supposed pro. XM stopped working, couldn't use CarPlay, etc. So having installed a radio in another of my cars was able to fix it. Was able to pop the center radio panel on and off no issue.

Tonight the Pioneer, which has a slide off face, was catching, so decided to see what was up.

Took it apart, got it to a point where it sort of clears, but now can't get the center panel to pop in.

Any ideas?

The panel usually just pulls off with sum prying.

Generally goes back in with some back hand thumping.

Pull it back out and check behind to see if your binding on something like a stuck wire harness or chime module. Something may be pushing back.

Going to give it a try a little later, but I removed the stereo to see why the removable face kept getting caught on the Metra frame.

When I tried to push the panel in, it was bulging at the center, so hopefully I can figure this out.

OK it was my error.

1- I had flipped the Metra Dash Kit for the radio.

Flipped it back and now all is good.
