Default H3 Rear Differential Covers

I know there was a previous similar thread on this before, but I think it warrants further discussion and exploration. The previous thread is https://www.hummerforums.com/m_53862/tm.htmand gave great info on the H2, but I wanted to see if anybody has some new scoop for the 3 specifically.

A bunch of my vehicles have had their rears covered in the extra capacity aluminum cover with drain plug. One even had a magnetic drain plug. Sorry HummerGuy, not a fuel mileage magnet. The idea being greater cooling capacity and longer gear life. WellI broke ring gear teeth, had pinion shim wear, and have blown seals, but SHEOOT, I like the way they look. StarnBars came up with a cool spider guard at http://purplecranium.com/wsm/i-385_h...er_spider.html, but I'm looking for a cover.

The 3 has a ten bolt cover, and I thing an 8.5inch Detroit Axel ring gear. Anybody got the particulars. I'm wondering if a Summit cover might fit? Like this one. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...34687&rd=1
D Vader, when you get the Helms Service Manual, a little help here Bro.

Just got back from the Kinzlow off road weekend in Tennessee. The guys from AM General who engineer, build and test off road additions that are sold through Boulder Accessories had a test rear differential cover on the H3 they brought to the event. This was the first time for them to take the accessory off road and at Kinzlow's you really needed all of the underbody protection you could get. Large boulders to climb over with very rapidly changing grade. Not sure what time frame they were looking at to release the cover but you could go to their web site and probably email or get a phone # to give them a call. It really looked good.

From the price, it should have some power train details, but I haven't seen that manual yet. Does it give any spec.s on the rear axle, or have any service/mantenance info on rear diff. for fluid change, cover removal etc. Mainly I was wondering if it identified the rear axle and gear components, or if it indicates any differences between the standard rear axle and the electronic locker in the Adventure??? May not have anything to help me? I've had some shop manuals that go thru ring and pinion gear R & R. You can pm me if your not sure and do not want to bore the populous????? Since we got to make a living, check it out over the weekend and let me know. Thanks tons.
