H3 "pop" felt in front floor area when turning

I think I finally fixed my front end "pop" that was felt under my feet in my 2008 H3. When turning a corner, fast or slow, I would get a pop under the dead pedal area or under the gas pedal. I had initially put some teflon paper-thin washers between the frame and the lower body mount (the 2 mounts under the Instrument Panel and the 2 mounts just behind the front seats). I was told by a trusted source that it was a "stick-slip" condition between the mount and the frame surface and that this would allow the mount cushion to slip, but not stick...and therefore not pop.

This didn't work, so I tried the opposite. I mostly felt the "pop" under the dead pedal, so I cut a piece of "non-skid rubber waffle material" (the kind of material that you put in a drawer to keep stuff from sliding around) in a disk shape that was about 1/4 inch bigger diameter than the contact surface of the lower body mount. I also cut a shape in the middle that made it fit snug to the upper mount (a hole with a flat top and bottom to match the upper mount shape). I thought that this material would rip to pieces, but after 3 weeks it's still fine. I removed all of the teflon washers that I added and cleaned the contact surfaces of the 4 body mounts with rubbing alcohol to make sure that they were clean. Also cleaned the contact surface on the frame with alcohol too. I torqued the mounts to 81 ft/lbs (per engineering contact) and went for a drive.

Improvement has been 1 million percent over the last 3 weeks....

I had one pop 8 days ago and decided to spray the upper halves of the body mounts (just the upper halves....not the lowers) with a generous amount of silicone spray. Now, I did try the silicone spray a month ago, before all the alcohol and rubber waffle washer, but it didn't help much. Maybe a combination of the silicone spray on the uppers and the lowers getting more bite (by being clean and the driver's side front having the new rubber washer) is what worked...not sure. All I know is that in 3 weeks I have had 1 "pop" (the one from 8 days ago)....and in the last 8 days I have had NONE (watch me have a bunch now that I have posted this). :)

If anyone else has this annoying popping sound, maybe this will help.
