Front differential gasket replacement

Front differential gasket replacement
This weekend as I was changing the oil, I noticed some oozing/leakage coming from the front differential... it appears to be centered around the three lower bolts of the differential so I'm hoping its just the gasket. I have over 200k miles on my H3 so I can't say I'm surprised. Anyway, when looking at the front differential it looks like some of the bolts may be hard to reach with standard tools. Has anyone done this and if so, can you share the process?

Hey Carlos,
I think I would try the easy stuff before going straight to replacing the gasket. I would clean up the front diff, either with some grease cutter type soap and water or a pressure washer with soap. Then I would make sure the cover bolts are all to spec. at 30 N.m or 22 lb ft. Drive it a while and see if it weeps again.
If it still weeps, then track down the gasket or use RTV, pull the cover, clean up the surfaces and re-install.
