Ok. I'm new here. I hope to get a used H3 sometime in late 2010! I already have all the brochures, books, a Hummer sweatshirt and a keychain!

I know that stereo mods are pretty low priority on a 4x4 Hummer.

I am posting up here to invite anyone who does have a modded stereo, or is interested in one for their H3, to post here so we can all get to know each other.

First off let me apologize as I can not help with the Onstar and nav harness advice as I don't have an H3 yet, and have not checked those harness out yet. I can give advice on everything else you might want to build in your hatch.

I have extensive subwoofer box building experience (15 yrs). I can wire up anything and know how to work with large gauge wire.

I can help you guys with advice on box building and fiberglass work.

I am interested in anything from mild to wild. SQ to SPL, one little sub to a wall of subs.

I am getting myself an H3 this year to use as my primary driver, and will be off roading it as time allows and my experience gets better. It will get a pure SQ setup installed with a single 8" sub fiberglassed into the rear hatch, 5 channel amp and components in the stock locations.

Here is my current daily driver, to be retired to weekend fun car when the H3 arrives.

2003 PT Cruiser. 28 speakers, 3 batteries and ~2600 watts rms. Yes, now a two seater! Hence the need for the H3. Its not a boom car or SPL car, but it does get pretty loud!! All this was done by me in my home garage one step at a time, about a year to complete. I do have a friend who did the alarm for me, and he advised a lot. The design is from Steve Meade. SMD.

7"monitor replaced the rearview mirror, camera installed in the keyhole of the rear hatch...PS2 added too.
